City pursuing up to $500K grant for former Cortland Standard building

CORTLAND — Months after the Cortland Standard declared bankruptcy, the city's common council voted Tuesday to permit Mayor Scott Steve to pursue up to a $500,000 grant for renovations that could require a $125,000 match from the building's owners, Thomas and Stephen Geibel and Ann G. Howe.
