DRYDEN — The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority will have an open house April 17 in Dryden to outline a proposed solar array in the town of Dryden, the agency announced.

The meeting will be 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Neptune Hose Co. No. 1 hall, 26 North St., Dryden.

Residents and others will be able to learn about the project and share their comments.

NYSERDA staff members will provide information on the project, and afterward an online survey will be opened to seek additional input. It will be available at https://tinyurl.com/6ahms2sn.

The plan is to install a 12.5-megawatt facility, with batteries capable of storing 2.5 megawatts, on 51.6 acres of the former Caswell Road Landfill, 557 Caswell Road, Dryden. It operated from 1970 to 1985.
