Scott A. Greene of Cuyler, NY passed away unexpectedly on June 4 at Guthrie Cortland Hospital surrounded by family and friends. Scott was originally from Cortland, born December 18, 1967 to the late Bert and Linda Greene. He attended Cortland Junior Senior High School. He was an avid hunter and loved working on cars. Before becoming disabled, Scott worked for Bonsbak Inc. as a laborer. Over the years he also worked in lumber yards such as North Main Lumber and Cayuga Lumber. Scott is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 37 years, Debbie; daughters Dawn (Steve) Crandall of Cuyler and Ashley Greene of North Carolina; sons Brent (Michelle) Kelley of Skaneateles and Alan Burlingame of North Carolina; grandchildren Hunter and Ryder Crandall, Adrianna and Christopher Richards, Kiya McCormick, and Terrell Bonapart; aunt Robin Terwilliger; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; cousins; and his best friend—his dog Diamond. He was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan. Calling hours are June 21, 11am-1pm at Smith Funeral Home in DeRuyter, with a celebration of life to follow. Please wear Dallas Cowboys’ colors or Dallas gear in memory of Scott.
