CoffeeMania of Cortland has received the state Senate’s Empire Award, awarded by Sen. Lea Webb (D-Binghamton).

Founded December 7, 1999, CoffeeMania was founded Dec. 7, 1999, as a specialty coffee shop with a drive-through kiosk. It has grown into a local institution with three locations in Cortland, Cortlandville and Homer.

CoffeeMania stands out for its commitment to fostering a family-friendly environment, Webb said in a release, making it a cornerstone of daily life for many Cortland residents.

“I am proud to present CoffeeMania with the New York State Senate Empire Award,” Webb said. “Coffee Mania’s commitment to quality, service, and community spirit sets an example for small businesses across the state. Their success is a testament to the power of small businesses in strengthening our local economies and building vibrant communities.”

“Receiving the New York State Senate Empire Award is truly an honor,” said owners Craig and Michelle Brooks, in a release. “This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone here, and we’re excited to continue growing and serving our community for years to come.”
