JUNE PROGRAMS AND EVENTS

For Adults

• Zentangle class, 5:30 p.m. June 4 at Kellogg Free Library. $10 per person, ages 18 and up. Call for reservations.

• Free Food Giveaways. Groton Public Library will have one June 1, with a delivery from Ithaca Bakery and Tops. Then at 12:30 p.m. Tuesdays with a delivery from Wegmans.

• Naloxone training, 6:30 p.m. June 13 at Phillips Free Library for ages 16 and over. Training through state Office of Addiction Services and Supports. Registration required at office@phillipsfreelibrary.org.

For Kids and Families

Story Hours:

•10:30 a.m. Tuesdays at Cortland Free Library: Baby/Toddler Time. Rhymes, stories, and songs designed for children from birth to age 2 and their caregivers. Registration is recommended.

•9 a.m. Wednesdays at Phillips Free Library: Knee High Storytime. Stories, songs, crafts and more, appropriate for toddlers and preschool children with their families.

•10:30 a.m. Thursdays at Cortland Free Library: Preschool Story Time. Stories, songs and activities. All ages are welcome, but this program is designed for children ages 3 to 5. Registration is recommended.

•10 a.m. Fridays at Kellogg Free Library in Cincinnatus and Southworth Library in Dryden.

FOR ALL AGES

• Summer Reading Kick-off is June 27 at Groton Public Library — noon to 5 p.m. for younger kids and 5 to 8 p.m. for tweens and teens. Captain Jack, Lilypad Puppets, Sir James Balloon Man, Maria for Face Painting and more will be there. The giant wall board game returns along with Battleship for the tweens and teens. Free cookies and free books.

• Summer Reading Kick-off is 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 8 at Phillips Free Library. The Science Heroes will start at 11 a.m. with The Adventure of the Lost Treasure.

• Children’s Bingo is 10 a.m. June 22 at Kellogg Free Library in Cincinnatus. Register by calling the library.

HOURS CHANGES

• Cortland Free Library will close at 5 p.m. on Tuesdays and all day on Saturdays through June.

• June 1: Lamont Memorial Free Library in McGraw is closed.

• Monday 27: Groton Public Library is closed.

• Today and Monday: Phillips Free Library is closed.
