The Tribe flies its flags Friday

Posted

The Tribe will have an opening reception from 3 to 4 p.m. Friday at the Age Well Center in Cortland for its display of memorial flags, a First Friday event.

The Tribe started as a group of friends, faculty and students at the SUNY Cortland along with members of the community that socialized during the ‘60s and ‘7’s. The flags, more than 100 now, were made to honor those members of the Tribe who have died. Members of The Tribe will discuss the flags, the people being honored and the project.

If you miss the opening reception, you can see the exhibition of the memorial flags and learn more about the Tribe throughout from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays in March and April at the Age Well Center, 165 Main St., Cortland.
