Cortland County reported eight new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday, raising the number of confirmed cases since the pandemic began to 13,516, the state Health Department reports.
Tompkins and Cayuga counties reported 31 new cases Wednesday, the state reported. The three counties have seen 60,889 cases since the pandemic began in March 2020. The number of people who have died from the virus remains 417.
Five new COVID patients were admitted Monday to Guthrie Cortland Medical Center, and one on Tuesday, the state reported Wednesday. The hospital had 13 COVID patients. The state Health Department reports 316,921 tests have been administered. The state has reported 135 deaths.

Cayuga County saw 14 new cases Wednesday, the state Health Department reported. Confirmed cases rose to 20,602 The state reports 412,629 tests have been administered, and 181 people have died.
