The National Weather Service at Binghamton hass issued a tornado warning for Cortland and other counties through 7 p.m.
The storm was found in Virgil, heading northeast at 35 mph. It's expected to be in Solon and McGraw by 6:40 p.m, east Freetown by 6:45 p.m. and Taylor by 6:50 p.m.
Take cover now, forecasters warn. "Move to a basement or interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobiel home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.
