Early voting in primary starts June 15

Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. June 25 for a Democratic primary to select a nominee for Congress’ 22nd District.

Sarah Klee Hood faces John W. Mannion for the nomination. The winner will face incumbent Rep. Brandon Williams (R-Sennett)

Early voting begins June 15 at the Cortland County Board of Elections, 112 River St., Cortland. The poll is in the rear of the building; access for people with disabilities is through the front of the building. The poll will be open:

June 15: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

June 16: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

June 17: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

June 18: noon to 8 p.m.

June 19: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

June 20: noon to 8 p.m.

June 21: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

June 22: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

June 23: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Voters may drop off absentee ballots at the board of elections from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays, and from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on June 25. Absentee voters need not wait in line; a poll inspector will receive the ballot.

Absentee ballots mailed to the board of elections must be postmarked by June 25 and received by July 2. To request an absentee ballot, go to https://ballotapplication.elections.ny.gov/home/absentee.
